AC Milan forward M'Baye Niang has emerged as a possible target for Manchester United, according to Italian daily Il Giornale.

Joining AC Milan from French side SM Caen, the 22-year-old forward has grown to be an important performer for the Rossoneri over the last few seasons and has been a regular in their first team squad.

Scoring three goals and with as many assists this season for AC Milan, the Frenchman has played a part in their improved performances this season under Vincenzo Montella.

And it seems his performances have been noticed by a few big wigs of Europe as it has been claimed that Manchester United are keeping a close watch on Niang.

While not in January, Manchester United are expected to be in the market for forwards in the summer and the 22-year-old Frenchman has emerged as a target for the club.
