Chelsea are in advanced negotiations with Atalanta for the signature of young midfielder Franck Kessie, but are only expected to sign the player in the summer.
The 19-year-old midfielder has attracted the interest of a few European big wigs with his performances in the Serie A this season and his future has been a subject of furious speculation over the last month or so.
Juventus have been keeping a close watch on the player, but the real interest has arrived from England with both Tottenham and Liverpool reportedly making bids for Kessie.
But it seems Chelsea are in pole position to get a deal over the line for the young midfielder as according to Italian broadcaster Sky Italia, the club are in advanced talks with Atalanta.
The Blues have been trying to convince Atalanta to sell Kessie this month, but it seems the Serie A club will be holding on to the player until the end of the current season.

And it has been claimed that while Chelsea are favourites to nab Kessie, they will only get their man in the summer transfer window.
The 19-year-old midfielder broke through to the first team this season and despite his tender years, has established himself as a regular starter for Atalanta.
He has a contract until 2021 with the Serie A club.
