Manchester United midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin will undergo a medical at Everton later today ahead of his anticipated move to Goodison Park this month, according to the Manchester Evening News.

The Red Devils rejected a bid from Everton earlier this week for the Frenchman and both clubs were yet to agree a fee, but it seems the deal has picked up pace in recent hours.

It has been claimed that the 27-year-old will arrive at Everton’s training ground Finch Farm and is set to undergo a medical as both clubs look to sort out a fee.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho revealed last month that the Frenchman has asked to leave the club in January and indicated that he won’t stop the midfielder if the club receive an acceptable offer.

West Brom have also been in the chase for Schneiderlin, but their offer was knocked back by Manchester United last month and it seems Everton are set to beat the Baggies to the Frenchman’s signature.

Schneiderlin also prefers a move to Everton as he worked with Toffees boss Ronald Koeman at Southampton for one season before joining the Red Devils in 2015.

The Frenchman has played very little football for Manchester United this season under Mourinho and will be expecting to spend more minutes on the pitch after completing his move to Goodison Park.
