Everton are interested in snapping up Standard Liege forward Ishak Belfodil during this month's transfer window.

Ronald Koeman is keen to strengthen his options this month and is looking to make additions to a number of key areas of his squad including the Toffees forward line.




And according to Belgian daily Het Laatste Nieuws, Standard Liege forward Belfodil has emerged as a target for the Merseyside club during the winter transfer window.

The Algerian joined the Belgian outfit this summer on a free transfer and has found success playing as a second striker playing behind the front man this season.
 


Scoring nine goals and providing four assists this term, Belfodil has been in good form for Standard and his performances have attracted the gaze of Everton boss Koeman.

The Dutchman is looking for a suitable partner for Romelu Lukaku up front and the 24-year-old forward is being seriously considered by the Premier League outfit at the moment.

However, Everton are yet to slap in a bid for the player and are weighing up their options before making a decisive move for Belfodil in January.

He has a contract until 2018 with the Belgian outfit.
