VfB Stuttgart coach Hannes Wolf has admitted that if an offer comes in for attacking midfielder Alexandru Maxium, who has been linked with Leeds United, it will be considered.

Maxim, who was wanted by Leeds boss Garry Monk during his time in charge of Swansea City, is struggling to nail down a starting spot on a regular basis at Stuttgart and could be on the move this month.

The Romania international's agent has confirmed his client would rather wait until the summer to move, however he did also admit that a lucrative offer this month could turn his client's head. He also said Maxim is relaxed over links with Leeds.

And in another sign the pieces of the jigsaw for a departure are now slotting into place, Wolf has conceded offers for Maxim will be closely looked at.

"If a club comes [in for Maxim], we must certainly talk about it", Wolf was quoted as saying by the Stuttgarter Nachrichten.

Maxim has also been linked with Premier League side Hull City, though it is unclear whether the Tigers' interest has survived the sacking of Mike Phelan as manager.

So far in the current campaign Maxim has clocked up 18 appearances for Stuttgart in all competitions, chipping in with two goals and providing his team-mates with five assists.

The Romanian is under contract with the German club until 2019.
