Hoffenheim striker Mark Uth admits he has heard about interest from Tottenham Hotspur and Southampton and believes it is testament to how he has progressed.

Uth was snapped up by Hoffenheim in the summer of 2015 from Dutch outfit Heerenveen, a move which marked a return to his native Germany after he headed to the Netherlands in 2012.

The former Germany Under-20 international played and scored in a friendly fixture against FC Groningen on Sunday and was asked about talk Spurs and Southampton want him.

Uth admits he knows about the interest, but explained it is not beyond that stage, meaning he is determined to stay focused on delivering the goods for Hoffenheim.

"I've also read [about] it [the interest], but there is not much to say", he told German magazine Kicker.

"There is interest, nothing more.

"In any case, it's recognition, but I want to concentrate on football for now, start the second part of the season, stay injury free and be successful with Hoffenheim", Uth added.

Uth missed games earlier this season due to a muscle injury, but still clocked up ten appearances in the first half of the Bundesliga, scoring five goals for Hoffenheim.

His contract with the Bundesliga outfit runs until the summer of 2018.
