Liverpool starlet Sheyi Ojo has stressed his aim is to help his side whenever called upon and make sure he uses whatever minutes on the pitch he is given for the first team to impress boss Jurgen Klopp.

The Reds failed to secure a win in their FA Cup tie against Plymouth Argyle on Sunday at Anfield and had to settle for a 0-0 draw.

Klopp started a young team against the League Two outfit, but despite dominating possession throughout the game, they did not score.

Ojo, who started the game for the Reds, said his goal is to play regularly with the first team and to do so he must make minutes on the pitch count

“As a young player, you want to break in and be getting minutes”, Ojo told the club’s official website.

“That’s my aim.

“If I get my opportunity, try to help the team."

Ojo is also aiming to help Liverpool book a spot in the fourth round of the FA Cup by coming through a replay at Plymouth.

"As a team, hopefully we can go far in this competition”, added the 19-year-old.

Ojo was out of action this season initially due to a back issue and the game against Derek Adams’ men was his first competitive appearance at senior level since last May.

He will be aiming to make a significant contribution when both sides meet for their FA Cup replay this month.
