Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek says he is developing by training under manager Antonio Conte and added the Italian has helped him in improving his game.

Loftus-Cheek started the game for the Blues during his side’s FA Cup tie against Peterborough United on Sunday, with Chelsea winning 4-1.

The 20-year-old, who was replaced in the 70th minute, provided an assist for team-mate Michy Batshuayi for Chelsea’s second goal.

The game on Sunday was Loftus-Cheek’s third start of the season and his fourth appearance of the campaign in all competitions.

The midfielder credited Conte for the improvement in his game and said that the Blues’ boss is working with him during training sessions to help him develop.

“He always helps me in training and playing different positions is only going to help my knowledge of the game”, Loftus-Cheek told the club website.

“I’m getting my development in training with him.

“In all positions we can play well and we’re versatile”, added the 20-year-old.

“We saw Pedro play as a wing-back on Sunday and there are no egos, wherever we’re asked to play we’ll do that to the best of our ability.”

Chelsea will host Brentford at Stamford Bridge in the next round of the FA Cup this month and Loftus-Cheek will be aiming to start for the Blues again and help his side to progress further in the competition by making a significant contribution.
