Leeds United legend Eddie Gray believes the fourth round draw gives the Whites a great opportunity to progress in the FA Cup this season.

Garry Monk’s side registered a battling 2-1 win over League Two outfit Cambridge United on Monday night to progress to the next round of the competition and will play the winners of the third round replay between Sutton United and AFC Wimbledon.

Leeds are expected to start their fourth round clash as favourites regardless of their opponents and Gray admits that it is not the most eye catching draw that came out of the hat.

However, he believes that it presents a great opportunity to the Yorkshire giants to have an extended FA Cup run and book a place in the fifth round of the competition.

The Leeds legend told LUTV: “The draw is not the most glamorous draw, but it gives the football club a chance to progress further in the FA Cup.

“It’s a game we will be beginning as favourites and probably it will be another game that will probably be on the box.

“And we have a chance to be in the fifth round of the FA Cup.”

Leeds will look to shift their focus towards the Championship and keeping their winning run going when they host Derby Country at Elland Road on Friday night.
