New Rangers arrival Emerson Hyndman has stressed he joined the Scottish giants not just for exposure, but to help the team improve.

Hyndman recently arrived at Ibrox on a loan deal, which will last until the end of the ongoing season, from Premier League club Bournemouth.

The 20-year-old midfielder is likely to play his first game for his new club when the Gers take on Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig in a friendly this weekend.

Ahead of his first appearance for the Scottish club, Hyndman said that more than gaining experience, he joined Mark Warburton’s side to help them get better.

“Any league is physical and it always comes down to that, I think it will be good exposure in this league for me but honestly I am just here to improve the team”, Hyndman told Rangers TV.

“I am not here just for myself and that is what I look forward to doing”, added the American.

During his time at Bournemouth, he made just three appearances for the Cherries, however, he will be aiming to break into Warburton’s starting eleven as early as possible.

Hyndman will be looking to impress during his loan spell at Ibrox in order to secure a position in the first team when he returns to England.
