Tottenham Hotspur star Moussa Dembele admits that agreeing to a move to the cash rich Chinese Super League would be difficult and claims he is very much in the dark over just how good the league is.

A number of household name players have move to China this month in big money moves and some, such as John Obi Mikel and Axel Witsel, even snubbed offers from European clubs in favour of the Chinese Super League.

According to Belgian newspaper DH, Witsel might not be the last established Belgian star to move to Asia as a number of current Belgium internationals have concrete big money offers on their table from China.

Premier League stars such as Romelu Lukaku, Christian Benteke, Dembele and Marouane Fellaini are targets for Chinese clubs and even Napoli’s Dries Mertens has been approached.

Tottenham star Dembele has however underlined the difficulties of accepting a move to China and admits that it is a difficult choice that most players would have to ponder upon in the current climate.

Reflecting on a prospective move to China, he said: “It is certainly a difficult choice.

“To be honest, I have no idea about the level of the league there; it’s really hard to say.”

China are expected to try to poach more European stars in the near future and clubs are also looking at them as an opportunity to sell players surplus to requirements for exorbitant amounts.
