Fixture: Southampton vs Liverpool
Competition: EFL Cup
Kick-off: 19:45 (UK time)

Liverpool have named their starting line-up and substitutes to take on Southampton at St. Mary's in the first leg of their EFL Cup semi-final tie this evening.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp made wholesale changes to his side at the weekend against Plymouth Argyle in the FA Cup and saw his men only draw 0-0 with the League Two side. The German is taking no chance against Claude Puel's men and has named a strong team in an effort to take one step closer to Wembley, also keeping in mind Southampton held Liverpool to a 0-0 draw earlier this term in league action.

Klopp goes with the big guns, with Daniel Sturridge leading the attack, with Roberto Firmino and Adam Lallana in support. Georginio Wijnaldum, Emre Can and Lucas Leiva will look to control the midfield area, while Ragnar Klavan and Dejan Lovren form the central defensive partnership. Loris Karius is between the sticks.

On the bench, the Liverpool manager has available to come on Philippe Coutinho, who will be looking to get minutes. Divock Origi is an attacking option for Klopp to turn to.
