Southampton and West Brom have been given a transfer boost after striker Manolo Gabbiadini decided to quit Napoli this month.

Both Premier League clubs are part of a group of sides keen on tempting the Italian away from Napoli in the current transfer window, but Gabbiadini had been considering whether or not to stay at the Serie A outfit.

Now though, according to Italian daily Corriere dello Sport, the striker has decided to move on in the current transfer window as he seeks a fresh challenge.

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is willing to play ball, but only if his asking price of €20m is met.

Southampton are reported to have offered €14m for Gabbiadini, while West Brom have been credited with being willing to meet Napoli's asking price.
