West Brom are ready to meet Napoli's asking price for striker Manolo Gabbiadini, who is also wanted by Southampton, and take the Italian striker to England in the January transfer window.

The 25-year-old striker’s future has been subject of much speculation over the last month and he is looking increasingly likely to leave Napoli by the end of the current window.

Premier League clubs have been consistently linked with a move for the Italian this month and Southampton have reportedly tabled a bid of around €14m for Gabbiadini.

Napoli are looking to pocket more money; they are said to be holding out for a fee of around €18m to €20m for the player and it seems they might get their wish soon.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, West Brom have entered the chase for Gabbiadini and are ready to offer a figure of €20m to Napoli via the Italy international’s agent soon.

Napoli could accept the offer from the Baggies if they receive the stated figure and it will be up to Tony Pulis and his men to convince the forward to move to the Midlands this month.

It remains to be seen whether Southampton come back with a rival offer for Gabbiadini should Napoli accept the bid from the Baggies in the current transfer window.
