Patrice Evra, who has been linked with a return to former club Manchester United, could return to the Premier League with Crystal Palace.

The Eagles have opened talks over snapping up Evra, according to Sky Italia, with the left-back keen to move on from the Italian champions and strongly considering the London club.

The veteran defender has fallen out of favour in Turin and is struggling for regular game time, something which means he is firmly edging towards the exit door.

Manchester United had been linked with moving to re-sign the full-back, whose stock at Old Trafford remains high.

However, it could be to Selhurst Park that Evra goes as Palace are in talks over signing the defender, who is claimed to be closing on an agreement.
