Scottish giants Rangers have confirmed the loan signing of Arsenal youngster Jon Toral until the end of the season though the deal is still subject to international clearance.

The 21-year-old had his season-long loan deal to Spanish side Granada cut short as the move to Rangers drew closer in the last few days.




Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger had himself admitted that a loan move to Ibrox was very much on the cards, also insisting that it would mean a good move for the development of the youngster.

The Spaniard rose through Barcelona's youth academy before joining the Gunners back in 2011. He developed through their youth ranks there was finally promoted to the senior level back in 2014.
 


Toral though has failed to play even a single first-team match for Wenger's side and was sent out on multiple loan spells, the Granada one being his third.

For the Spanish side Toral though didn't feature that heavily, managing just six appearances and scoring a lone goal.

Toral's signing is the second Mark Warburton's side have made this January with the first of them being Emerson Hyndman from Bournemouth, also on a loan deal.
