Watford and Leicester City have joined the Premier League queue for Napoli striker Manolo Gabbiadini in the current transfer window.

The Italy international is almost certain to leave Napoli in the winter window and have been linked with a move to England, with a number of Premier League outfits chasing him.

Southampton reportedly slapped in a €14m offer for the player recently, but Napoli want more money and even West Brom are said to be preparing an offer for the player.

However, it seems the race for Gabbiadini is only going to get tighter in the coming weeks as according to Italian sports daily Corriere dello Sport, Watford and Premier League champions Leicester City are keen.

Both clubs have Italian managers in Walter Mazzarri and Claudio Ranieri respectively and they are keen to snap up their compatriot in the current transfer window.

While Napoli are keen to sell the player this month, they want to pocket a fee of around €20m from his sale and it has been claimed that they are yet to receive an offer which exceeds €16m.

The Serie A giants seem to be willing to wait until a club match their asking price for Gabbiadini despite wanting to offload the 25-year-old striker in the winter window.
