Rangers new signing Jon Toral has revealed that Arsene Wenger has always been keen to loan out his players to teams managed by Mark Warburton as the Gers boss plays a similar style of football to Arsenal.

The 21-year-old Spaniard joined the Glasgow giants on Thursday on a loan deal until the end of the season from Arsenal and is looking to make an impact at Ibrox in the second half of the campaign.

Toral has already played under Warburton at Brentford and is aware of the style of football the Rangers manager has always been keen to see his teams play on the pitch.

He feels it is easier for Arsenal players to join teams managed by Warburton because of the similar style of football and also revealed that Wenger himself is keen to send his players to the Rangers boss as he is aware of the Englishman’s football philosophy.

The Spaniard said in a press conference: “I have played under him at Brentford and he played that similar style of play that we play at Arsenal as well.

“Obviously the connection he has with the boss at Arsenal and footballing style is similar.

“So it suits players from Arsenal to come on loan to teams that he manages.”

On what Wenger said before he joined Rangers, Toral said: “He knows Mark well as a manager and he knows the style of play so he is really keen on sending players to teams that Mark manages.”
