Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has lavished praise on Manchester United attacking midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan and feels the Armenian is a rare talent.

Manchester United snapped up Mkhitaryan from Borussia Dortmund last summer and after a difficult first few months in English football, the Armenian is finding his feet at Old Trafford.

He has gradually established himself as one of the key creative forces in Jose Mourinho’s squad and is expected to line up against his former manager’s team at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Klopp, who signed Mkhitaryan as Dortmund boss, is aware of the world class qualities and the attitude of the player and admits that the Armenian is a footballer of rare talent and skill.

Asked about his former Dortmund player, the Liverpool manager said in a press conference: “He combines the best technical skill with the highest tempo and that is pretty rare.
