Liverpool legend Jan Molby believes that Manchester United are not currently in the mix for the Premier League title, with the top four the only battle in town for the Red Devils at present.

Jose Mourinho's men are on a superb run of form and have won their last nine games in all competitions. However, it has still not moved Manchester United out of sixth place in the Premier League, three points off the top four and ten off leaders Chelsea.

Mourinho's men face a test on Sunday when they play host to Liverpool, who are second and five points off Chelsea, and Molby feels the Red Devils are only at present battling for the top four.

Asked if Manchester United are in the title mix on LFC TV, Molby replied: "I have to say at this moment in time the only fight they are in, Manchester United, is to get into the top four.

"If they didn't get into the top four it would be a massive, massive disappointment for them", he added.
