New Leeds United co-owner Andrea Radrizzani has revealed he recently had dinner with the club's head coach Garry Monk and enjoyed spending time with the former Swansea City manager.

Monk has Leeds flying high in the Championship table in third spot, but concern has been raised by some fans due to the fact he only signed a 12-month contract in the summer; the boss could be an attractive appointment for a number of teams on the back of his work at Elland Road.

Radrizzani insists he is a firm fan of Monk and his values, believing that the head coach can transfer his views to the club, something which can be a big benefit to the Whites.

"I really enjoyed having time with him. We had a lovely dinner this week", the Leeds co-owner told LUTV.

"I was very pleased, not only to know him better as a coach and a manager, but to appreciate him and his values, he has good values", Radrizzani continued.

"He can transfer these values which he has been growing up with since he was a player, to the boys and to the team.

"And these can be a big asset for the club in the future."

Radrizzani bought 50 per cent of Leeds from current club chairman Massimo Cellino and is set to assess purchasing the remaining 50 per cent in the summer.

He visited the club's Thorp Arch training facility and Elland Road ground on Thursday, then attending Leeds' 1-0 win over Derby in the Championship on Friday night.
