Montpellier midfielder Morgan Sanson, who has been linked with Premier League side West Brom, is set to join Marseille.

The 22-year-old was recently the subject of an €8m bid from Marseille, which Montpellier knocked back as they felt it undervalued him.

But Marseille have returned with an offer thought to be around the €12m mark and, according to Infosport +, Montpellier have been convinced, meaning Sanson is heading to the Stade Velodrome.

The midfielder had been linked with several other clubs including Bournemouth, Borussia Dortmund and West Brom.

Sanson is now expected to undergo a medical with Marseille before putting pen to paper on a contract running for four-and-a-half years.
