Christian Benteke's agent has played down reports of interest in his client from Paris Saint-Germain, insisting he has been contacted neither directly or indirectly by the French champions.

PSG are looking to add to their striking options, with providing support for Edinson Cavani key. The Parc des Princes outfit have already seen Chelsea rebuff enquiries for striker Michy Batshuayi and are now assessing alternatives.

They have been linked with Benteke, who joined Crystal Palace from Liverpool in the summer transfer window, but the striker's agent Eris Kismet has heard nothing from the French club.

And he noted that Benteke is at present fully focused on Palace.

"I've, like you, read the many rumours in this period and I have not been contacted either directly or indirectly by the leaders of Paris Saint-Germain", Kismet told L'Equipe.

"The player is 100 per cent focused on Crystal Palace."

With Palace fighting against the drop in the Premier League, they are sure to be reluctant to part with Benteke.

Sam Allardyce's men went down to defeat at West Ham on Saturday and sit just outside the drop zone in the league standings on goal difference.

The Eagles will be hoping Benteke can play a significant role between now and the end of the season, especially as they have only scored once in their last four games.
