Rangers winger Harry Forrester has insisted that he is hopeful of forcing his way back into Mark Warburton’s starting eleven.

The 26-year-old former Doncaster Rovers man has struggled to be a regular starter at Rangers this season and made his last appearance in the starting eleven in a league game in November.

Forrester believes that he has done enough from the bench and is confident that his performances merited a place in the squad despite not getting an opportunity to start for the Gers.

However, he is keen to put his difficult last few months behind him and is confident of convincing Warburton in order to return to the Rangers starting eleven in the second half of the season.

The winger told Rangers TV: “I like to think that whenever I have played I did enough to earn the shirt for that game.

“Obviously I have scored a few goals off the bench, given as much as possible and I have found myself in this position at the moment.

“But we move on and hopefully I can force my way back into the gaffer’s plans.”

He has made just seven starts in the Scottish Premiership this season, but was a regular in the team for the cup games.

Forrester will be hoping to convince the Rangers boss with his performances in the Scottish Cup this month.
