Rangers winger Harry Forrester has insisted that despite a difficult last few months he has enjoyed his year at Ibrox.

The Gers snapped up the winger from Doncaster Rovers in January last year and he made an instant impact with a few goals in his first few games, but suffered an injury which forced him to miss the end of last season.

The 26-year-old has struggled to be an important part of Mark Warburton’s plans this season and has made just seven starts in the Scottish Premiership, indicating towards his current relegated status at Ibrox.

However, reflecting on his first year at Rangers the winger feels that there have been enough good memories to keep him going and believes after last season’s injury, he did well to be again fit for the start of the current campaign.

He admits that the last few months have not been great for him personally, but the winger is ready to put in the hard yards in order to get back into the team.

Forrester told Rangers TV: “If I look back at my year, there are fond memories to be honest.

“I think I came in maybe under a bit tough circumstances with a six-month contract and kicked on from there.

"I broke my leg sort of mid-flow I would say and obviously missed the last two big games of last year.

“I worked really hard to get myself in position to start pre-season and I managed to do that; to kick off the season with a couple of goals and what not was great.

“The last few months haven’t been as good as I hoped, but that happens in football, it’s up to me to try and force my way back in and kick on again.

“I have had a great time here for the year I have been here.”

He has made 37 appearances for Rangers over the last year and has scored eight goals and provided three assists for his team-mates.
