Norwich City are not prepared to pull the trigger and end Alex Neil's reign as manager of the club as they remain convinced he is a good boss.

The Canaries have seen their form nosedive in recent months and they are now well adrift of the automatic promotion places in the Championship, while reaching the playoffs is now also becoming a tough ask.

Over the last 12 games in the Championship, Norwich have the fourth worst record in the division, having won just three games and lost an astonishing eight.

But according to the BBC, Norwich's board are convinced of Neil's quality and as such will not sack him.

The Canaries are backing the 35-year-old, whose only managerial experience prior to heading to Carrow Road came at Scottish club Hamilton, and believe there would be no guarantee his successor would do better.
