Leeds United have so far been frustrated in their efforts to land two targets in this month's transfer window.

The Whites are keen to increase their attacking options and have zeroed in on West Ham United striker Ashley Fletcher, a player they chased in the summer window following the expiry of his contract with Manchester United.

Garry Monk's men also want to sign former Liverpool winger Sergi Canos from Norwich City.

But according to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds appear to have made no progress on swoops for either Fletcher or Canos.

West Ham are reluctant to allow Fletcher to leave before securing more striking options, meaning Leeds are dependent upon the Hammers' transfer business before potentially being able to sign the striker.

Meanwhile, Leeds only want to sign Canos on loan, while Norwich are more open to a permanent transfer.

Whites boss Monk has admitted he is looking to make up to two additions in the current transfer window as he aims to strengthen a squad fighting for promotion to the Premier League.

Leeds have also been boosted by a new co-owner, with Italian businessman Andrea Radrizzani having acquired 50 per cent of the club.

It is not clear however whether Radrizzani's arrival has made more money available for transfers.
