Ishak Belfodil is angry with how the ongoing transfer saga linking him with a move to Premier League club Everton is going.

Everton are keen to sign the former Parma striker, but Standard Liege's €12m asking price has not yet been reached and there have been suggestions the Toffees are cooling their interest after not being willing to go above €10m.

According to Belgian daily Het Belang Van Limburg, Standard Liege sporting consultant Daniel Van Buyten and agent Christophe Henrotay have tried to have their say on the potential deal through their contacts at Everton, Romelu Lukaku and Kevin Mirallas.

And Belfodil's representatives are unhappy, preferring to manage their client's career alone.

Belfodil is due back at Standard Liege today after taking time off to attend to family matters.

And the striker is less than pleased with how things are progressing.

It is unclear whether Everton will return to Standard Liege with an offer of €12m for the Algeria international, a player the Belgian side have been reluctant to sell.

There have also been claims Standard Liege want to ensure they have Belfodil for big games against rivals Club Brugge and Anderlecht later this month.
