Lyon have submitted their third bid for Memphis Depay to Manchester United – but it is still expected to be rejected.

Les Gones are keen to land the out-of-favour winger and he is ready to make the move to France as he looks to get his career back on track.

Offers of €13m and €15m for Depay have already been rejected, meaning Lyon are now on to their third bid for the Netherlands international winger.

According to French outlet Foot Mercato, the third bid has now been delivered to Manchester United.

The offer is an initial €18m plus potential bonuses.

It is not expected to be accepted however, with a source in England being quoted as saying that Manchester United will not take less than €23m for Depay.

A further €5m above Lyon's offer, it is less than clear whether Les Gones will be able to meet the Red Devils' asking price.

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has already said that he is happy to keep Depay at Old Trafford if the club's demands are not met.
