Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino insists that he likes day to day coaching and as such does not feel ready to leave it to manage his national team, Argentina.

Pochettino has become one of the most sought after managers in the Premier League after he helped Spurs finish third in the Premier League table last season, their best finish in the history of the Premier League.

He was lauded for his work with La Liga outfit Espanyol and also for his time with Southampton, prior to arriving at White Hart Lane.

When asked whether he would leave White Hart Lane to take up the Argentina job, Pochettino said he is not keen to take that job at the moment.

"No, not really because I'm good here at Tottenham”, Pochettino told La Nacion.

"At my age I like to be involved in the day to day.

"I just took it as another rumour of football, among the many there are.

"It is not in my short term to have aspirations to train Argentina”, added the 44-year-old.

“Maybe yes in the long run because my two dreams are to train Newell's [Old Boys] and Argentina."

After the dismissal of former Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal, it was speculated that the Red Devils were keen on appointing him as their new manager.

However, he stayed with Spurs and is again challenging for the Premier League trophy this season.
