Gerard Deulofeu is still pushing for a move to AC Milan despite the fact that the Serie A giants and Everton have continued to haggle over an agreement.

AC Milan have been on a wild goose chase in the current transfer window in order to sign wantaway Everton winger Deulofeu and take him to the San Siro this month.

They have been in negotiations with Everton over an agreement for days, but are yet to reach a point where both the clubs see eye to eye for a deal over Deulofeu’s move to Italy.

Everton remain determined to insert an obligatory purchase option in any loan agreement for the Spaniard, but AC Milan have no intentions of agreeing such a deal.

The Rossoneri are ready to insert an option of a transfer for the Spaniard and the deal has been deadlocked because of Everton’s reluctance to accept anything other than an obligatory purchase clause.

However, according to Sky Italia, the possibility of an agreement still exists as the player himself is pushing for a move to the San Siro in order to play regular football in the second half of the season.

Deulofeu has been a bit part player under Ronald Koeman this season and is desperate to play regular football, hence his interest in moving to Italy in January.

AC Milan still remain available for an agreement regarding the winger and are set to travel to Spain too in order to negotiate with Barcelona, who have a first refusal option on their former player.
