Inter Milan have identified Manchester United linked Victor Lindelof as a possible recruit next summer, potentially setting up a head-to-head battle with the Red Devils for his signature, according to Italian daily Tuttosport.

The Benfica defender was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United during the ongoing winter transfer window and reports in Portugal suggested that the Red Devils were prepared to shell out €45m for the Sweden international.

But it has been claimed that the English giants will not be making an offer to Benfica for Lindelof in January; they could revisit the situation in the summer window.

It seems the 22-year-old is not short of suitors as Inter Milan have shortlisted him as a possible target in the summer.

The Italian giants want to boost their defensive options before the start of the 2017/18 campaign and are reportedly keeping tabs on Lindelof, with Kostas Manolas and Marquinhos also being on their radar.
