FC Twente are running the rule of Arsenal midfielder Glen Kamara after the Gunners agreed to allow him to join the Dutch side for a trial spell.

Kamara has struggled to find a way through to the first team at the Emirates Stadium and recently spent time on loan with League Two outfit Colchester United.

Twente have identified the 21-year-old midfielder as a potential addition, but first want to take a close look at his talents.

Now, according to Dutch daily TC Tubantia, Kamara will link up with Twente on trial from Saturday, allowing the Eredivisie side to run the rule over whether he fits into their side.

Kamara is a product of Arsenal's youth system, having been tempted to the club from Southend United in 2012.

He had a loan spell back at Southend last year, before then joining Colchester for the first half of the current campaign.

Kamara, who was born in Finland, has represented the country at Under-19 and Under-21 level.

Twente currently sit in eighth spot in the Dutch top flight.
