Stoke City will pay an initial £8m for Saido Berahino, rising to £15m, if he joins the club from West Brom, after agreeing a fee with the Baggies.

The Potters are keen to land the striker, who has regularly been linked with leaving the Hawthornes over the last few transfer windows, Tottenham Hotspur being chief in the chase for his signature.

Stoke's path to landing Berahino has not been straight forward, but if the deal does go through, the Potters will pay just £8m up front, according to the BBC.

The total West Brom could eventually receive sits at £15m, but it is dependent upon Berahino being a success at Stoke and the Potters also hitting certain targets.

Earlier on Friday, Potters boss Mark Hughes admitted that there was a disagreement on price, with the Stoke boss striking a less than confident note about doing the deal.

It has been claimed that West Brom are keen on Watford's Odion Ighalo as a replacement for Berahino.

But the Baggies will only move for the Watford man if they can agree a deal to sell Berahino.

Now with suggestions a fee is agreed, West Brom may move for Ighalo.
