Garry Monk has been happy with Leeds United’s work so far in the ongoing transfer window, but has pointed to the difficulties of signing players in the January window.

Leeds confirmed the signature of Pablo Hernandez on a permanent contract earlier this month, but other than that the club are yet to take any decisive steps in the ongoing transfer period.

Monk has talked about making one or two key additions to his squad in order to further boost their promotion hopes and is still hopeful of getting a couple of deals done.

The Leeds boss admits that the club are not close to announcing any deals, but he is happy with the way the people behind the scenes have been putting in the hard yards to sign players.

Monk also feels that signing new faces in January is not always a straightforward operation, but he remains confident that he will be able to get his targets by the end of the window
