Ahead of Stoke City’s clash against Manchester United, Potters boss Mark Hughes has admitted that the Red Devils are now turning into a Jose Mourinho-esque team.

Hughes’ men have won their last two games in the Premier League and have risen up to the top half of the league table.

They will be welcoming Mourinho’s men to the bet365 Stadium on Saturday and will aim to extend their winning run.

However, the Red Devils have been in a great form of late and won nine successive games in all competitions before drawing 1-1 with Liverpool last Sunday.

Hughes has acknowledged Manchester United’s incredible run and has said that they are now transforming into a typical Mourinho side.

"I enjoy the big games and I always did as a player too. United for me, is always a huge game and one I love to do well in”, Hughes said in a press conference.

"We're playing them amidst the run of a really strong run of form and their team is shaping into a Jose Mourinho side now.

"There is an expectation on United to come here and win, although we want to have something to say about that!", added the 53-year-old.

The corresponding fixture between the teams at Old Trafford ended in a 1-1 draw in October last year.

The Red Devils are currently placed sixth in the Premier League table and are 13 points ahead of the Potters.
