Monaco are interested in signing Lyon winger Rachid Ghezzal, who has also been linked with a move the Premier League, amid suggestions Arsenal and Everton have held talks with his agent.

The winger, whose current deal expires in the summer, has so far shown little interest in signing a new contract with Lyon and has repeatedly stalled on negotiations.

With Memphis Depay about to join Lyon from Manchester United, the club are considering selling the player this month and it seems they could have a buyer in France.

According to French sports daily L’Equipe, Monaco are interested in snapping up the winger and have held tentative talks over doing a deal with Lyon in the ongoing transfer window.

Leonardo Jardim is looking to add a winger to his squad this month and it has been suggested that the Monaco boss is a fan of the 24-year-old Algeria international.

Currently with the Algeria squad in the African Cup of Nations, any deal to sign the player could be delayed until the end of the window because of his international commitments.

Ghezzal has scored twice and has assisted five goals in 19 appearances in all competitions for Lyon this season.
