Rangers boss Mark Warburton has indicated that the club are still in the market in the ongoing transfer window for the right kind of players.

With their midfield resources dwindling due to injuries and untimely departures, Rangers signed Jon Toral and Emerson Hyndman on loan deals this month from Arsenal and Bournemouth respectively.

Currently second in the league table, the league title is again seeming to be heading to Celtic, but Rangers are fighting to finish runners-up and book a European slot for next season.

Many still believe the Rangers squad need more quality additions in January and Warburton also admits that the club are still in the market for players in the ongoing transfer window.

However, he added he won’t sign players for just to make up the numbers and insisted that the right players would have to become available at the right price for the club.

Asked if Rangers are still in the market for players, Warburton said in a press conference: “If we can we will do.

“But it depends very much on the right players becoming available at the right price, in terms of value for the club, which is important.

“If we can we’ll move but it has to be someone adding something that we don’t currently possess.

“There is no point in doing it for numbers sake.”
