Eddie Gray feels Leeds United boss Garry Monk will name an unchanged starting line-up against Barnsley today, barring injuries, following the Whites’ superb display in their 1-0 win over Derby County.

Leeds completely outplayed the Rams at Elland Road and could have easily won the Championship contest by a bigger margin.

Chris Woods’ first half goal turned out to be the winner as the Yorkshire giants extended their unbeaten run to seven games in all competitions.

And Gray, who thinks Leeds will not change their team against Barnsley unless there are injury concerns, believes the Tykes’ style of football will suit the Whites.

“I wouldn’t think so”, Gray told LUTV, when asked if he is expecting changes to the starting line-up.

“Given the performance in the previous game, I would be surprised [if Monk makes changes].

“Unless there are a few injuries, they will play the same eleven against Barnsley.

“It will be a tough game against Barnsley, a local derby.

“They are bit Jekyll and Hyde, they could be good, they could be average. They are a good footballing side, they do try to play.

“But I think that suits us.”

While Leeds presently find themselves third in the Championship table with 48 points from 26 games, Barnsley are 10th in the standings with 38 points.

Monk’s team beat Barnsley 2-1 in the corresponding fixture at Elland Road in October, with Kyle Bartley and Pablo Hernandez scoring for the hosts.
