Lazio are not scheduled to discuss a fresh contract with Stefan de Vrij and are prepared to sell the defender next summer, according to Italian daily La Repubblica.

The Dutch international, whose present contract with Lazio runs until the summer of 2018, is on the radar of Chelsea, along with Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United.

Premier League leaders Chelsea sent scouts to watch De Vrij in action during Lazio’s 2-1 win over Atalanta last Sunday.

However, the English sides may not have a free run at De Vrij as a number of fellow European heavyweights are also interested in snapping him up.

Paris Saint-Germain, Borussia Dortmund, Atletico Madrid, AC Milan and Inter Milan have all been credited with showing interest in the 24-year-old.

With De Vrij being such a sought after player, Lazio are expected to fetch a significant sum from the sale of him, despite the former Feyenoord star not having much time left on his present deal with the Serie A outfit.

The centre-back, who has thus far made 13 league appearances in the present campaign, also has 30 caps for the Netherlands to his name.
