Lyon have entered the fray for Juventus defender Patrice Evra, according to French sports daily L’Equipe.

The Frenchman, whose present contract with Juventus runs until next summer, has struggled for game time this season and has been linked with a move away from the Turin giants during the ongoing winter transfer window.

Crystal Palace have targeted Evra, but the Premier League outfit’s offer has thus far not been convincing enough for the former Manchester United star.

Lyon, who snapped up Memphis Depay from the Red Devils earlier in the week, are now showing interest in Evra.

Juventus are already in discussions with Lyon regarding the signing of Les Gones midfielder Corentin Tolisso next summer, and the French giants want to use it to their advantage to land Evra six months prior to the expiration of his contract with the Italian champions.

On Friday, Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas was scheduled to talk with coach Bruno Genesio regarding the signing of Evra, whom Juventus are willing to let go for free in their bid to sign Tolisso.

But the Ligue 1 club have to work quickly to land their target, with Crystal Palace also eager to rope in the experienced left-back, while Valencia are keen too.
