Stuart Dallas feels the arrivals of Alfonso Pedraza and Modou Barrow at Leeds United on deadline day will help to improve the team and has indicated that he is ready for the enhanced competition for places.

Leeds United signed Barrow and Pedraza on loan deals from Swansea and Villarreal respectively on deadline day as Garry Monk eventually got the opportunity to improve his squad in the winter window.

Dallas, who scored in Leeds’ 2-1 win at Blackburn last night, is one of the players who will be fighting for his place in the team following the duo’s arrival but he insisted that he will just look to keep working hard and concentrate on his game.

Asked about Leeds signing two wingers on deadline day, the Northern Irishman told BBC Radio Leeds: “The feeling is the same.

“I just have to concentrate on my own game and working hard; tonight will give me a bit more confidence.”

And the Leeds winger also insisted that the team’s betterment is more important and if Barrow and Pedraza help the Whites to achieve promotion then it doesn’t matter what individuals think.

“At the end of the day it’s not about me, it’s about the team and they are coming in to improve the team.

“If it gets us to where we want to be then that’s the best thing for us.

"We are a good group of lads here and we’ll welcome them in here.

“They’ll have no problems settling in and hopefully we can push on.”
