Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has refused to accept that his team are out of the Premier League title race following their defeat to Chelsea last weekend.

The 3-1 defeat to Stamford Bridge last weekend meant Arsenal dropped down to fourth in the league table and are now trailing league leaders Chelsea by 12 points in the standings.

Many feel the meek performance against Chelsea was symptomatic of Arsenal’s failure over the seasons and it also meant that they are out of the title picture for another campaign.

However, Wenger has refused to accept that notion and insisted that if Arsenal are out of the race than most other teams also don’t have a chance to challenge Chelsea this season.

He admits that chasing down the Blues will be tough but he is hopeful that if they can reduce the gap with Chelsea in the coming weeks, anything can still happen this term.
