Leeds United winger Modou Barrow has insisted that he is still a Swansea City player, with the Gambian stressing that his future does not necessarily lie away from the Premier League outfit.

The winger, who joined Leeds on a loan deal from Swansea in January, has thus far clocked up 40 minutes over two Championship appearances for his new employers.

Barrow was snapped up by the Swans from Swedish club Ostersunds FK in 2014, with the 24-year-old contracted with the Liberty Stadium outfit until 2019.

And the winger, who stated that he is still a Swansea player, however, explained that presently he is fully focussed on doing well for Leeds and helping the Yorkshire giants to reach the playoffs at least.

“No, no. I'm still a Swansea City player. I'm here on loan”, he said on BBC Radio Leeds, when asked whether he thinks his future is away from Swansea.

“But for me right now, here is important because I'm here.

“The boys are working really hard to try to make it this season, to go to the playoffs at least.

“So right now my focus is just Leeds, trying to play and do well, and help the team as much as I can.

“Then after the season I can talk about Swansea.”

Barrow, who was previously sent out on loan to Nottingham Forest and Blackburn Rovers by Swansea, has thus far amassed 55 appearances for the Swans, scoring two times and setting up seven goals.
