Former Tottenham Hotspur star Scott Parker has explained that he is open to the possibility of hanging up his boots and going into coaching after the end of the present campaign.

The Fulham midfielder, who turned out against his former employers last weekend when Spurs brushed aside the Cottagers 3-0 in the FA Cup, is contracted with the Championship outfit until this summer.

The 36-year-old has featured considerably for Fulham this season, with the ex-England international thus far making 27 appearances in all competitions for the London club, providing two assists.

However Parker, who counts Charlton Athletic, Chelsea, Newcastle United and West Ham United amongst his former employers, insisted that he may retire from playing professional football and pursue a career in coaching after the season.

“I’ll see out this season and then make a decision later on as to whether or not I’ll continue playing or finally hang up my boots”, he told Spurs’ official site.
