Chelsea loanee Tammy Abraham has revealed that he set himself a target of scoring 30 goals in the present campaign at the start of the season.

The young forward, who is currently struggling with a hamstring injury, has been in fine form since joining Bristol City from Chelsea on a season-long loan deal last summer.

Abraham has thus far managed to score 21 goals in 38 appearances in all competitions for the Championship outfit, in addition to providing three assists.

And the 19-year-old explained that although he may miss a few games with his hamstring injury, he is still confident of reaching his target for the season.

“I did, I set myself at the beginning of the season to score 30 goals”, he told Chelsea TV, when asked if he has any targets this season.

“I am not too far from it.

“But obviously with this injury, I may miss a couple of games.

“But I’m still aiming high and hopefully when I get back, I will score more goals.”

Abraham, who is a product of Chelsea’s youth system, has thus far clocked up just 53 minutes over two Premier League appearances for the Blues.

The England Under-21 international’s present contract with Chelsea runs until the summer of 2019.
