Celtic Under-20s goalkeeper Conor Hazard has admitted that his side are presently not playing well, but insisted that the young Bhoys have not given up on winning the league title.

Tommy McIntyre’s team, who were held to a goalless draw by Falkirk on Monday, presently find themselves fifth in Development League with 43 points from 23 games.

Celtic presently find themselves six points adrift of leaders Ross County, who have played a game more.

The Hoops have been inconsistent of late, having managed to win just two of their last six league outings, scoring four goals.

And Hazard, who conceded that Celtic have struggled for goals in recent weeks, however, is optimistic about his side’s chances of winning the league title in the present campaign.

“Sometimes we’re not scoring enough goals, sometimes we’re not converting the chances we’re getting”, he told Celtic TV, when asked about his side’s recent form.

“But the league is not over till the last day and you’ll see where we’ll end up then.

“You have that pressure when you’re at Celtic, you have to win games.

“It’s not only about development. When you wear the shirt, you want to win.

“I don’t think we’re doing that enough at the minute, but we will end up winning.”

Celtic, who will next play Dundee United in an away league fixture today, have failed to register back to back wins in the league since beating Falkirk, Partick Thistle and Motherwell in consecutive games in early February.
