Arsene Wenger has revealed that Petr Cech and Laurent Koscielny could be in the Arsenal squad for the Gunners' trip to Middlesbrough on Monday.

Other than a win over West Ham earlier in the month, Arsenal have been going through a torrid run of form lately and their latest defeat came at Crystal Palace where they lost 3-0 last Monday.

Wenger’s team have been missing a few key personnel and two of them could return to the squad as Wenger revealed that Cech and Koscielny will undergo tests soon to determine whether they can make the squad for the Middlesbrough trip.

However, the Arsenal boss conceded that David Ospina and Lucas Perez will continue to remain sidelined as they are yet to recover from their respective injuries.

Wenger said in a press conference: “From the last game, we have a chance to get Petr Cech back and Laurent Koscielny is joining in today.

“If the tests are positive then they will be back in the squad for Monday night.

“Ospina and Lucas are still out.”

Arsenal are currently sixth in the Premier League table and are seven points adrift off the top four chase with eight games left in the campaign.
