Manchester United are set to send a scout to watch Chelsea target Andrea Belotti in action for Torino against Sampdoria on Saturday as they look to sign a top striker in the summer.

The Italy international has been in fine form for Torino this season, scoring 27 goals in all competitions and is being considered one of the top marksmen in European football.

Clubs such as Chelsea and Arsenal have been following his exploits in Italy but the Red Devils are ready to show more concrete interest in the player in the coming days.

According to Italian sports daily Tuttosport, a Manchester United scout will watch Belotti in action at the Olimpico di Torino this Saturday when Torino take on Sampdoria.

Manchester United are ready to pay Antoine Griezmann’s €100m release clause to sign him from Atletico Madrid in the summer and it seems that the same figure is not deterring them in their pursuit of Belotti.

The Red Devils are planning to sign a new number nine in the summer and the club are expecting to sign either Everton’s Romelu Lukaku or the 23-year-old forward from Torino.

And it has been claimed that Manchester United won’t shy away from paying his €100m release clause too if they finally decide to sign him from Torino at the end of the season.

Torino are hopeful that next year’s World Cup will convince Belotti to continue at the club for one more season.

Chelsea have also been claimed to see Belotti as a potential replacement for Diego Costa, who could move to China.
