Negotiations over a new contract between Fiorentina and Chelsea target Federico Bernardeschi have stalled ahead of the transfer window.

The 23-year-old Italy winger has suitors such as Chelsea, who are ready to offer him a €5m per season contract for a summer move, and even Inter Milan are considering enticing him away from La Viola.

Fiorentina have been working hard behind the scenes to agree a new deal with his representatives and hold on to one of their most attacking forces for next season.

However, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, negotiations between the parties have stalled and they are nowhere close to reaching common ground at the moment over a new contract for Bernardeschi.

Fiorentina’s contract offer stands at around €2.7m per season, but the winger’s agent wants the club to double that offer, which La Viola are not prepared to agree to at the moment.
